WipeOut! Silicone Caulk Dissolver is compatible with porcelain, ceramic tile, glass, brick, sealed grout, aluminum, PVC, natural wood, drywall/sheetrock, cotton cloth, HDPE, PET, and quartz.
WipeOut! Silicone Caulk Dissolver is usually compatible with manufactured materials such as fiberglass/FRP, laminate, composite, acrylic solid surface countertops, quartz, and manufactured marble. Light etching may occur, visible as a faint ring.
WipeOut! Silicone Caulk Dissolver is generally not compatible with painted surfaces, with the exception of powder-coated metals. It is generally not compatible with stained wood.
WipeOut! Silicone Caulk Dissolver is not recommended for use on cement or natural stone, as severe etching may occur. Similarly, it is not recommended for use on bare iron or steel. It is also not compatible with ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) surfaces, such as those found in RV bathrooms, or with polystyrene.
Given enough applications, WipeOut! Silicone Caulk Dissolver will dissolve any silicone caulk. It also works well against other silicone adhesives, siliconized acrylic caulk, mirror mastic, and duct tape residue.
Shake before using. Wear household nitrile gloves while using this product. Always test this product on an inconspicuous area prior to use. Ensure surface is clean and completely dry.
Apply an even bead of product directly to the caulk to be removed. Ensure caulk is completely covered. Wait up to 2 hours. Thin films of caulk residue will be dissolved within only 15 minutes. Larger beads will be softened and easier to remove mechanically. Remove remaining caulk with a plastic scraping tool. If any residue remains, reapply product to completely dissolve.
Wipe surface thoroughly with a wet disposable rag or paper towels. Let surface dry completely before recaulking.
